Role Overview

The IBM Maximo Implementation Expert will be responsible for leading the deployment, configuration, customization, and optimization of IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise in Maximo architecture, integration, and asset management processes, combined with consulting skills to align solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of IBM Maximo, including installation, environment setup, and module configuration.
  • Customize Maximo applications to meet client-specific requirements (work orders, inventory, procurement, preventive maintenance).
  • Configure workflows, escalations, KPIs, and reporting dashboards.

Integration & Data Management

  • Integrate Maximo with ERP, SCADA, IoT, and other enterprise systems.
  • Ensure seamless data migration, cleansing, and validation during implementation.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).

System Optimization & Support

  • Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Implement security, compliance, and governance frameworks for Maximo environments.
  • Provide ongoing support, upgrades, and patch management.

Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate asset management needs into technical solutions.
  • Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution design reviews.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in IBM Maximo Asset Management implementation and customization.
  • Hands-on experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), workflows, escalations, and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of asset management processes (maintenance, inventory, procurement, lifecycle management).
  • Proficiency in databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and middleware technologies.
  • Experience in integrating Maximo with ERP, IoT, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IBM Maximo implementation, consulting, or support.
  • IBM Maximo certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with asset-intensive industries (utilities, energy, manufacturing, transportation) is a plus.
