Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Zoho Developer (Books) with strong expertise in Zoho Books development, customization, and automation, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial workflows, and business processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing Zoho Books for finance and accounting operations, integrating it with third-party systems, and delivering scalable automation solutions.
The candidate should be capable of bridging the gap between finance and technology by understanding accounting requirements and translating them into efficient Zoho-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain solutions within Zoho Books
- Configure and optimize modules such as invoicing, billing, payments, banking, taxation, expenses, purchase orders, inventory, and financial reporting
- Develop custom functions using Deluge scripting
- Build workflows, automation rules, approval processes, and custom modules
- Integrate Zoho Books with third-party applications such as CRM, ERP, payment gateways, banking platforms, and tax systems
- Work on APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations across the Zoho ecosystem
- Create dashboards, reports, MIS, and financial analytics based on business needs
- Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, and operations teams to understand requirements and improve processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, TDS, reconciliation, and financial controls
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support for Zoho Books implementations
- Support migration of accounting data from legacy systems to Zoho Books
- Recommend best practices for process improvement and financial automation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Zoho development, with strong focus on Zoho Books
- Strong expertise in Deluge scripting, Zoho Creator, Zoho Flow, and Zoho APIs
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliation, GST, TDS, AP/AR, and month-end closing processes
- Experience in customizing finance workflows within Zoho Books
- Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and third-party system integrations
- Familiarity with finance operations across multiple business functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact with finance stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with CA firms, finance teams, or accounting process automation projects
- Exposure to Zoho CRM, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Expense, Zoho Analytics, and other Zoho applications
- Knowledge of ERP/accounting platforms such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Zoho certification(s) will be an added advantage
